Who I am...
I am a freelance and signed photographer for a media company called Festival Squad, we mainly cover raves, festivals and other big music events around the US.
Based out of Phoenix, Arizona I am a photographer and videographer
that has a love and passion for the visual arts.
From music festivals and concerts to weddings and quinceaneras you name it I've shot it.
I found my love for the visual arts at the age of 17 and pursued a career in it at the age of 18. I have also done video work for some companies like Adidas, MADD etc. and other organizations. I had the chance to tour in the US with a organization (The Academy, Drum and Bugle Corps) to film and document what they have been doing and running their social media platforms as a social media marketing intern.
Mainly I specialize in portraiture, live music photography, and videography and everything in between
I have always have been fond of photography but during my high school years I would borrow my friend's older DSLR and go out shooting every and anything I could. He let me borrow that camera for a good two months and I messed with the settings, did a little bit of internet research and learned that basics of shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and white balance on my own.
Currently I shoot with a Canon 5D MIII, my go to lens is my nifty fifty.
I use reflectors, strobe flashes and studio lighting for my work but depending on what look I am going for or the situation I am in I can use one external flash or a whole studio set up.
I use all Mac products.
Everything inspires me, anything can inspire me to take a shot, a certain mood, a setting, landscape, people, objects, shadows, reflections are big for me, symmetry, leading lines, natural lighting, other photographers/ videographers, artists, dance, music. Literally everything inspires me to do what I do.
It's the little things that mean the most to me, having my photographs in my clients house or at their work, having my work being featured by other people, compliments by others, having someone want my work printed or as little as my work being used as wallpaper for a background of a client or supporter's phone. Social media is a big thing for me and connecting with a bigger community and audience has always given me excitement to know that I have to ability to impact others, to inspire someone else in ways I could have never imagined.
An assistant is a must for my bigger work such as portraits, weddings, and quinceañeras. Also with filming it helps to have an extra a hand and head around.
One of my favorite shots... Well that's hard to say, each one of my images has a different story and mood to them, some sad, happy and, inspirational... Being a young a mischievous beginner photographer I have snuck into concerts just to shoot the artist and enjoy some good music, the stories behind the photos mean the most to me. From my first paying gig, adventures and explorations, photo meets, first dates, high school band trips and competitions, my first official shoot as a member for my media company, to traveling the US, I can not really pin point which photo that I have taken to be my favorite.
The photography game is always changing and everyone is creating new visuals every day. I plan to make photography and videography my full time job and retire and old shooter and travel the world with my best friend(s) explore, shoot and travel until the day comes where I can no longer click the shutter button or pull my last frame in to focus one last time.
